Therrin J. Eber is originally from Fort Wayne, Indiana. He has worked across the country as a Scenic Designer, Lighting Designer, Director, and Technical Director.

He received his M.F.A. from The University of Alabama in Lighting and Scenic Design, and his B.A. from Purdue University Fort Wayne in theatrical design and directing. He is currently an associate member of SDC, The Stage Directors and Choreographers Society.

His work has been found in different venues across the United States that ranges from theatre, concerts, special events, opera, and more. He recently won a William Wunderlin Award for Best Scenic Design for his work on Assassins.

Therrin and his wife are currently based out of the Chicago Suburbs while he is a faculty member at Aurora University. He has taught a range of classes from Intro to Theatre to Theatre History - some of his favorite courses to teach are Design For the Stage and Play Analysis. While at Aurora he acts as a faculty member, production manager, production designer, technical director, and sometimes even director. The hat closet is thriving and full.

Therrin spent 3 years at the University of Alabama as a graduate research assistant where he designed and built multiple shows a year, as well as taught classes ranging from Intro to Theatre to Lighting Design.

For the past 4 summers, Therrin was an assistant production manager and head of lighting for Brevard Music Center in Brevard, North Carolina. There he led teams of 50+ production staff and departments in fully produced operas, high-end fund raisers, rock concerts, and orchestral concerts. Some of his favorite designs from Brevard include: Abba! The Concert, Michael Feinstein, An Evening of Frank Loesser, Bernstein's Mass, and so many more.


He has also spent time touring the country as a props designer with Ten-Time World Champions -  The Cadets Drum and Bugle Corps, based out of Allentown, Pennsylvania. As well as a props consultant for Boston Crusaders Drum and Bugle Corps out of Boston, Massachusetts.
